Permit-by-Rule Information
The storms on January 10 and 13 caused significant damage to both Town infrastructure and personal property. As residents affected by property damage plan for repairs, please note that all repairs and improvements require permitting.  Properties with private seawalls, beach stairs, or other applicable projects within the shoreland requiring repairs will need to complete a Permit-by-Rule Application with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) as well as a Building Permit with the Town of Kennebunkport.

The Town of Kennebunkport Planning and Code Enforcement Department continues to accept online payments.  Our office is open to the public.  In office meetings with staff or site visits are by appointment only and can be scheduled by calling 207-967-1605.

Prior to submitting your permit application and plans for review, please review the items on the permit issuance checklist to ensure your application is complete and in compliance with local ordinances as well as IRC 2015.

Once your permit has been approved and a permit fee amount has been given to you, you may proceed to the e-payments link and choose Building and Plumbing Payments to make a credit card payment or you can drop a check off at the office and the permit will be issued at that time.  Please do not consider your permit issued until you have received email confirmation from this office with a copy of the issued permit.
