Town Clerk

The Town Clerk is the keeper of public records, past and present. The Town Clerk's department is responsible for:

  • Coordinate the administration of elections for the town
  • Issue hunting, fishing, and dog licenses
  • Record and maintain all vital statistics records (birth, death, and marriage certificates) for the town
  • Maintain a record of board and committee meetings
  • Maintain the town's ordinances
  • Administer the town’s business licenses, such as liquor licenses, victualer licenses, special amusement licenses, etc.
  • Preserve official town records
  • Issue marriage licenses
