Minutes

 

Meeting called to order via zoom at 6:30.

Present: Joe Frank, Jenne James, Gillet Page and Carol Laboissonniere

 

1. Joe and Gill will not be staying on committee after their appointment ends in June 2021. We will miss their contributions.

2. Joe will contact Tracey to cross reference Town website with Conservation Commission face book page.

3. Gill will send Carol the document from state regarding DEP Water Quality and swimming pool discharge.

4. Gill provided information on plastics with a group, Planeteers.

5. Discussion about whether schools or Parks and Rec might like soil test kits. Will need to follow up on this.

6. Carol will prepare Conservation Commission report for the Town Annual Report.

7. Carol provided update about the South Portland and Portland Land Use ordinances including fertilizer and pesticide usage, following her meeting with the Portland Pesticide Management Advisory Committee (PMAC).

8. Discussion on Town climate action plan postponed for future meetings.

9. Carol will contact Code Enforcement about Binnacle Hill and other house developments maintenance of storm water management systems.

10. Next meeting 3/8/2021 at 6:30 via zoom.
