Utility Scams

Please be aware of a new scam occurring in the area involving Spectrum.  The scammers are calling residents and advising them that their Spectrum bill is overdue, and they need to either provide them with credit card information or purchase a cash card from a nearby convenience store.  If you do not immediately provide them with either option, they will shut off services to your residence.  THIS IS A SCAM!  Do not provide these people with any personal information, credit card information and certainly do not purchase a cash card to provide them with.  If there are any doubts, disconnect with them, research the number to Spectrum, or any utility companies that are threatening to disconnect services, yourself and call them directly.
