Kennebunkport Municipal Departments
This department includes the office of the Town Manager and Finance. To view the fiscal year 2012 budget and proposed fiscal year 2013 budget, click on Town Administration.
This department is responsible for assessing values to all real and personal property, tax maps are available here, as well as staff support to the Board of Assessment Review.
The Harbormaster is responsible for issuing permits, pier membership, and managing Kennebunkport Harbor.
The Town of Kennebunkport does not operate a municipal library; however, there are two independently run libraries that are financially supported by the Town.
Keeper of all town records including birth certificates, death certificates, marriage intentions and marriage licenses, election results, public hearing notices, etc.
This department is responsible for planning, building inspections, plumbing permits and provides staff support to the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Board of Assessment Review and the Growth Planning Committee.
We work with local, county, state, and federal officials to prepare for possible disaster situations. In an actual emergency, we will coordinate our community's response to the situation.
Kennebunkport EMS (KEMS) is a volunteer private agency that provides emergency medical services to the residents of Kennebunkport.
Our primary mission is to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Kennebunkport.
The Kennebunkport Public Health Department provides skilled nursing services, health and wellness educational programs and clinics for the residents and guests of Kennebunkport. The Public Health Department is also responsible for administering the state of Maine mandated General Assistance Program and various social service programs. In addition the Public Health Department is responsible for the Maine Healthy Beaches Program.
The Highway Department provides snow plowing service, in addition to road repairs, maintenanace and painting of cross walks and parking spaces in town.
One of the Town's most beautiful natural resources providing great views of commercial fishing and recreational boats, as well as avian wildlife.

This department is responsible for town ordinances, updates and revisions to the Comprehensive Plan, providing staff support to the Growth Planning Committee, maintaining the Town's GIS data, and performing subdivision reviews.
Dedicated to providing law enforcement and public safety services to all citizens and visitors of the Town of Kennebunkport, twenty-four hours a day.
Our mission is to collect and treat the wastewater that is generated in the Town of Kennebunkport. We are responsible for the proper disposal of the bio-solids that are generated by the treatment process.
Residential trash is collected curbside weekly, and recycling is collected curbside every other week (on the trash collection day).
Collector of real estate and personal property taxes. Agents for BMV and IFW processing auto, snowmobile, ATV, boat registration and also online vehicle, utility and boat trailer renewals.
