Goose Rocks & Colony Beach Water Status

The laboratory results are in for September 1, 2009
All of Goose Rocks Beach and Colony Beach test site results are within acceptable levels. Both beaches and the mouths of the Little, Batsons and Smith Rivers are open for water contact.
The town of Kennebunkport participates in the Healthy Maine Beaches Program, which is a cooperative partnership to test the water quality of Maine beaches. Volunteers take tests once each week. If tests identify elevated bacteria levels, the public is notified to avoid water contact.

Public Access at Broadway: 10
Public Access at 177 Kings Highway: 5
Mouth of the Batson/ Smith Rivers: 20
It’s official—K’Port is now a No Discharge Zone for boaters. Boaters please use and encourage your boating friends to use the FREE pump-out in the Kennebunk River.
