The Kennebunkport Public Health Department actively promotes programs to improve the health and welfare of our community. Our services include skilled nursing care in the home and health office. Skilled nursing care encompasses dressing changes, catheter changes, medication administration, Tuberculosis testing, blood sugar and blood pressure monitoring. Newborn visits are also offered .
The Public Health Office provides a variety of free resources and materials on disease prevention, lifestyle changes, and community resources. A medication identification program is available on our computer to review and reference a drug's action and side effects.
Interim Health Care assists our staff by providing Medicare and insurance covered services such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and home health aides. We also offer nutritional counseling and teaching.
A nurse is either working or on call 365 days per year.
