RE: BMV Business Hours
Date: October 17, 2006
Please note that effective immediately, BMV’s main office hours and branch offices’ hours are different.
BMV’s Main Office in Augusta (207-624-9000 ext. 52149) is now open to the public from
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public phone lines to the Main Office are now functioning for those hours as well.
The BMV Branch Offices are open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The public phone lines to the Branch Offices are functioning for those hours also. Kennebunk BMV (207-985-4890).
Taxes
Tax bills cover fiscal period of July 1 - June 30. Tax Bills go out around the first week in August and are due early September and early March. Please refer to your tax bill for additional information and accurate due dates. Taxes are payable at the Town Office during normal office hours. All checks should be made out to the “Town of Kennebunkport.” We now except credit cards at the Town Office (including VISA). Also, tax payments can be paid online using all credit cards except VISA. VISA is only accepted at the Town Office. To pay online, click on the gray "Home" tab to get back to the homepage and then, select the blue "Online Bill Payment" tab.
IFW Registrations
We are an agent for the State of Maine Bureau of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. We only process resident ATV and Snowmobile Registrations. We process Boat Registrations for residents and non-residents who house their boats in Kennebunkport. If you have any additional questions on new registrations or renewals, please give our department a call.
Vehicle Registration
The Vehicle Registration process varies from state to state. Please call our department for registration requirements.
Registration Renewals: Provide old registration, valid insurance card and mileage.
New Registrations: The paperwork and registration process can vary depending on the registration situation. Please call for additional information.
Trailer Registrations: Please call for registration information, not all trailer registrations are processed with us. For renewals of utility and boat trailers, you may process on Rapid Renewal for a period of one or two years.
