Miss your recycling pickup?
Another option you have is to bring all of your recyclables to the Sea Road Transfer Station in Kennebunk. The facility has a new two-sort recycling program. This innovative two-sort system allows residents and businesses to combine all recyclables into just two categories: mixed paper (anything that tears) and commingled containers (plastics, bottles, cans).
The Transfer Station is closed Mondays to all business and open and staffed with knowledgeable personnel, Tuesday - Saturday: 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The Transfer Station will reopen Mondays for recyclable drop-off only during the months of April, May, October, and November from 8 a.m.- 3 p.m.
Mixed Paper: Corrugated cardboard, mixed paper, junk mail, pressboard, newspapers and magazines.
Commingled Containers: All returnables (plastics, aluminum cans, glass bottles #1 - #7 plastics), glass (clear, brown, orange), steel and tin containers and aluminum cans and foil.
