Conservation Commission March 1, 2004
Attendance: Ruth Fisk, Alice Finnegan, Linda Wade, Janet Weston, and Jan Collins

1. Review of the ad hoc committee on the Critical Edge - discussion of the 5ft vs 3 ft shrubbery height. Discuss need for expert testimony regarding wildlife in that height range. Janet will talk to Laudholm.
2. Jan will contact Bill Junker regarding the original 5 ft.
3. Discussion of why the critical edge committee says their is no change in the critical edge and how important it will be to sit down with all the boards and committees.
4. Janet and Ruth will be attending the green ribbons restoration of coastal wetlands at Laudholm Farm on Wednesday.
5. Janet says Bayscaping will come and do a presentation. We could invite the landscapers, greenhouses, hardware stores, Garden Club, Historical Society, Newcomers, FOPS, and the Land Trust. One presenter does buffers and another does green lawn care. May 12 was offered as a possible evening date for a program of low impact gardening.
6. Materials for the election table Alice will get brochures from ag extension, also Green Lawns, the Sea is Rising, frogs, Bay Scaping, etc.
7. Janet will be our new chairperson.
